Who Hired You?

With the pandemic also came various “platforms”. Suddenly, there were “ministers” and “ministries” everywhere, and of course, we were spoilt for choice. However, it’s important to remember that no one takes this honour on himself, except He that’s called.

And no one takes this honour on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was. Heb 5:4 (NIV).

In other words, we don’t determine how we function in the body of Christ; God does. Ours is to discover where we fit in the Master plan.

Of course, we are all called to preach the good news according to Mark 16, but our destiny assignments are as the Lord wills.

But I’ve been to Bible School, so why can’t I start a church or function in the five-fold ministry? Someone is probably asking.

I know many people desire to serve God genuinely, and I can understand that, but we can only serve God within the confines of His will for our lives.

Imagine for a second an athlete put forward by their home country for a sporting event going on to do some other things at the games. Such an athlete could have their visa revoked for failing to serve the interest of their country, even if they succeeded in what they had chosen to do. And that’s because they failed to accomplish the purpose for which they were sent.

The same applies to our walk with God. Each of us has been sent here on a specific assignment by heaven.

So, find out why you were sent here and commit yourself to it because your destiny is the highest expression of God’s purpose for your life.
